History:

So
named because of its location at the site of Grand Coulee Dam. The
city is physically situated in three counties - Okanogan, Grant, and
Douglas - and incorporation required a special enactment by the state
legislature. Originally, the city of Coulee Dam was two separate
cities; Mason City and Engineer's City. |
