City Name History:   Initially known as Robbers' Roost, an infamous hideout for cattle rustlers, the small orchard community was established in 1880 and known variously as Spring Valley, Price's Valley, and Fruitland Valley. In 1887 a post office was requested, these name were submitted, and postal authorities picked the present title.
Comments:   The post office was inside the general store.
