City Name
History:
|
Originally
known as Twin Wells because of the existence of railroad water wells,
the town was retitled with establishment of a post office in 1888. The name was a composite coined from the names of railroad agent, J.D. Hackett,
and his bride Belle Sutton, who served as first
postmistress. |

No post office in Hatton, but I did find
their city hall. |
