J.P.
Comeford, Indian agent at the Tulalip Reservation, bought the land in 1872
and in 1877 constructed a store and wharf on Ebey Slough. Among the
first settlers were James Johnson and Thomas Lloyd, who suggested that the
new community be named for their former home on Marysville, California. |
