City Name
History:
|
So
named because it is located on a sharp north bend in the south fork of the
Snoqualmie River. The town was platted in 1889 by William H. Taylor
as Snoqualmie, but lost that title through general usage to a community
closer to the Snoqualmie Falls. It was called Mountain View and
South Fork before the present name was adopted. |
