History:

The
Native-Americans called the site Tap-tap for the falls in the Yakima
River. By 1882 when Col. William Prosser established a trading
post, it was called Yakima Falls. A year later, the county seat
was officially named Prosser Falls, and eventually was shortened to
Prosser. |
