History:
|
The
city was founded circa 1860 by E.C. Ferguson and E.F. Cady as a trading
post on the Snohomish River to serve both local settlers and the river
commerce plying the Snoqualmie and Snohomish valleys. Initially
known as Cadyville, it was subsequently called Snohomish City prior to
adoption of the present shortened name. |
