The
self-proclaimed salmon sport-fishing capital of the world is situated on a
cove on the western side of Chehalis Point Spit, which separates Grays
Harbor from the southwest. The area, originally known as Peterson's
Point after Glenn Peterson who settled there in 1858, was the site of Old
Fort Chehalis and the county's first schoolhouse. |
