White
Salmon is located in the Southwest Corner of Klickitat County. Basically
located on the side of a hill, this quaint
town offers several unique shops
along the main road through town. The bell tower is on the
corner of Jewett Boulevard
and Main Street and houses City Hall. The bells
chime on the hour and also play music on holidays.
As you can see in the above photos, the White Salmon Post Office boasts a very
unique sign. So far in my travels,
I have not seen this font used on a
Post Office.
Also, as we exited the town to the north, we passed by the most beautiful
house I have ever seen. At least five stories
tall, with two full
porches, large front steps and kept in incredibly, excellent condition. Seeing this house is well worth
a trip to White Salmon.
